The BOCC had a public meeting today to discuss the Assessor recording employees and other elected officials without their knowledge. Here's the video of that meeting, which is queued to the beginning statement of the Treasurer. You will see the Prosecuting Attorney, Commissioners and even the Assessor discuss this issue.

I have a mountain of insights about this matter which I know will be pages long, but I will try my hardest to encapsulate in as short a comment as possible.
How many county employees are there exclusively working in the Assessor’s office? How many of those employees have been working in the Assessor’s office for more than three-five years?
I personally would consider those employees who’ve worked in the Assessor’s office more than at least three (3) years to be “swamp bureaucrat.” They believe they themselves are the only ones who know how to run that office, and that any “changes in personnel and/or methodology“ are unacceptable to the existing Assessor’s office bureaucracy.
I can only compare the mentality…
